Let’s Head Into Henan’s Spring Mountains and Enjoy the Wild Beauty!

Some people love the canyon in spring, when peach blossoms bring soft color and new life.

Some prefer summer, when the Taihang Sky Road rises through deep green shade.

Others enjoy autumn, when Wangxiang Rock is wrapped in warm golden tones.

But some visitors love the canyon most in winter.

The First Days of Winter

Quiet, Pure, and Beautiful

Early winter shows the canyon in its most natural form.

The trees have dropped their leaves, frost covers the dry grass, and ancient cypress and pine trees stand strong along the red cliffs.

Here and there, a bit of green appears, small touches that brighten the quiet landscape.

The path winds upward like a silver ribbon around the peaks.

In the streams and gullies, the first ice begins to form, creating beautiful winter shapes carved by nature.

A clean, crisp winter scene slowly opens before you.

A Different Kind of Peace

In winter, the canyon is calm and spacious.
Without the busy crowds, it feels deeper, quieter, and more elegant.

Climbing Wangxiang Rock in this season always brings a special feeling a mix of grand views and the timeless power of the land.

When sunlight reflects off Taihang Lake, turning the water into shining gold, you feel the peaceful beauty of mountains and sky all around you.

True, Simple Nature

The winter canyon is honest and pure.
It sets aside the noise of the past seasons and shows its true, untouched form, simple, natural, and free of decoration.

Let’s Head Into Henan’s Spring Mountains and Enjoy the Wild Beauty!

Spring mountains smile as flowers and greenery awaken.

As the Qingming holiday approaches, Henan’s spring mountains and wilderness have already changed into their most dazzling attire.

This spring, let’s head into the mountains together!

Zhengzhou: Mount Song in Dengfeng

In spring, Mount Song sheds the solemn stillness of winter. Mountain peach blossoms and wild apricot flowers bloom among the rugged cliffs, while Songyang Academy rests quietly amid fresh greenery, blending ancient elegance with the spirit of spring.

The deep green pines begin to sprout fresh leaves, and golden forsythia flowers spread across the mountainsides. Blossoms bloom freely among the layered peaks.

Step by step up the mountain paths, clouds drift across the summits. From the mountaintop, visitors can overlook vast landscapes and experience the Zen-inspired tranquility of mountain scenery, fully embracing the beauty of spring.

Anyang: Linzhou Taihang Grand Canyon

Spring arrives early in the Taihang Mountains, filling the canyon with blossoms.

In spring, the Taihang Grand Canyon becomes a gentle poetic landscape of northern China.

Streams flow through Peach Blossom Valley, while peach and apricot flowers bloom across the mountains. Together with the red cliffs and emerald spring waters, they create a breathtaking “spring landscape painting.”

Clouds and mist surround the Taihang Sky Road. Hiking through the mountains, visitors can hear flowing springs and birds singing while admiring flowers blooming along the cliffs.

Within the majestic canyon, travelers encounter some of Central China’s most spectacular spring scenery.

Xinxiang: South Taihang Tourism Resort

Spring winds sweep across the South Taihang Mountains, turning the landscape into a living painting.

The area includes famous scenic spots such as Wanxian Mountain and Baligou. In spring, greenery deepens and mountain flowers bloom everywhere.

Peach blossoms and forsythia flowers in Baligou complement the waterfalls, while the cliffside corridor of Wanxian Mountain appears even more magnificent amid the spring flowers.

Mountain trails wind through changing scenery, perfect for gentle hiking or climbing to scenic viewpoints to experience the strength and vitality unique to the South Taihang Mountains.

Jiaozuo: Yuntai Mountain

Red cliffs and blooming flowers create a rich spring atmosphere at Yuntai Mountain.

Spring in Jiaozuo belongs to color.

The turquoise waters and red cliffs of Red Stone Gorge form the foundation of the scenery, while vast fields of golden forsythia flowers cover the mountains.

Wild peach blossoms and cherry blossoms bloom throughout the landscape, creating dramatic contrasts between warm and cool tones.

Spring also coincides with the Flower Festival. Wearing Hanfu while strolling through the mountains, visitors can admire blooming flowers and drifting clouds without missing the beauty of spring.

Luoyang: Baiyun Mountain

Spring scenery hides among the clouds, bringing peaceful joy to the mountains.

Spring at Baiyun Mountain is known for its “sea of flowers above the clouds” and thrilling outdoor experiences.

In April, magnolia flowers bloom beside the cable car routes like white snow. Visitors can cycle along the Baiyun Sky Road while enjoying activities such as Via Ferrata climbing and giant swing attractions.

At sunrise, glowing clouds spread across the mountains as flowers and seas of clouds merge into scenery resembling a fairyland.

Walking along the Baiyun Sky Road offers a peaceful and romantic mountain escape.

Luoyang: Laojun Mountain

Spring arrives at the immortal mountain as golden peaks shine among blossoms.

Laojun Mountain in spring feels naturally magical, often surrounded by seas of clouds.

Below the golden summit, magnolia and azalea flowers bloom across the mountains, appearing and disappearing within the clouds like a heavenly palace above the sky.

After rainfall, visitors are more likely to encounter cloud seas and sunrise views, where every step feels like poetry.

Xinyang: Jigong Mountain

Spring arrives later in southern Henan, bringing a slower and gentler mountain lifestyle.

The spring scenery of Jigong Mountain combines Republican-era architecture with natural mountain beauty.

Historic international-style buildings from over a century ago are hidden among blooming flowers and green trees. Walking along forest paths, visitors hear birds singing and watch clouds drifting through the mountains.

From mountain viewpoints, seas of clouds, sunrises, and glowing sunsets unfold one after another.

Strolling through quiet mountain forests brings a peaceful and healing spring experience.

Nanyang: Laojieling

One mountain ridge divides northern and southern China, while spring colors fill the Funiu Mountains.

As the climatic boundary between northern and southern China, Laojieling offers uniquely diverse spring scenery.

Cornelian cherry flowers blanket the mountains with pale yellow blossoms, followed by blooming redbuds and azaleas that complement the strange peaks, rock formations, and seas of clouds.

As spring winds pass through the mountains, visitors can admire both northern and southern landscapes while immersing themselves in the endless beauty of the Funiu Mountains.

Jiaozuo: Shennong Mountain

Walking along the dragon ridge in spring, peach blossoms fill the mountains with fragrance.

Spring at Shennong Mountain is famous for its unique combination of dragon ridge landscapes and peach blossoms.

Peach flowers bloom brilliantly across the mountains while the Dragon Ridge Great Wall winds through the sea of flowers.

From above, the pink blossoms and dramatic ridges form a spectacular landscape painting.

Wild macaque monkeys occasionally appear among the mountains, adding playful charm to the spring scenery.

Visitors can admire mountain flowers, majestic peaks, and the blend of Shennong culture with nature.
